The Stepper Motor 2-Phase 1.8 deg 1.0A (model 42BYGH401) is a 2-phase hybrid stepper motor with a 42 mm, NEMA 17 size frame, the most common size for desktop machines. It moves in precise 1.8° steps, 200 full steps per revolution, at a rated current of 1.0 A per phase, so it runs comfortably on popular drivers such as the A4988, DRV8825 and TMC2209 in 3D printers, CNC machines, laser engravers and robots.

Tip: Set the driver's current limit to 1.0 A or a little lower; at this current a small heatsink on an A4988 driver is still a good idea. Use microstepping for smoother motion, find the two coil pairs with a multimeter before wiring, and never plug or unplug the motor while the driver is powered.
