Tip: Use a driver rated for at least 3 A per phase, such as a TB6600 or DM542-type driver; small A4988 and DRV8825 boards cannot supply this current. Find the wires of each coil with a multimeter (they show low resistance to each other) and set the driver current limit to 3.0 A or less to keep the motor from overheating.
