The Electric Linear Actuator (electric putter) is a 12 V DC motor-driven push rod with a 500 mm stroke and a force of 1000 N. It turns the rotation of a DC motor into straight-line motion, extending and retracting the rod at about 7 mm/s, which makes it suitable for automatically opening and closing doors, windows, hatches and other heavy moving parts.

Tip: To move it both ways, swap the polarity with a DPDT switch, two relays or a motor driver rated for the actuator's current. Use a 12 V supply that can deliver the current needed at full load, and mount the actuator so the force acts along the rod, not sideways.
