Upgraded NEMA 17 Stepper Motor Shock Absorber Steel and Rubber Vibration Damper

The upgraded NEMA 17 Stepper Motor Shock Absorber is a steel and rubber vibration damper that fits between a NEMA 17 stepper motor and its mounting frame. The rubber layer absorbs much of the vibration that stepper motors produce, so less of it travels into the frame. The result is a quieter 3D printer or CNC machine, and it can also help reduce vibration marks on prints.

Tip: The damper adds extra spacing between the motor and the frame, so check pulley and belt alignment after fitting it. Do not over-tighten the screws, and avoid using it on extruder motors or axes where the motor must stay perfectly rigid.
