Inductor 1uH

The Inductor 1uH is a fixed inductor with an inductance of 1 µH (one microhenry). Inductors store energy in a magnetic field and resist fast changes in current, so they are used to filter power rails, build LC filters and tuned circuits, and smooth the output of switching regulators. This through-hole part with axial leads suits breadboards, perfboards and PCBs.

Tip: With a 100 pF capacitor, a 1 µH inductor resonates at about 15.9 MHz (f = 1 / (2π√LC)). In power circuits, keep the current through the inductor within its rating, because too much current makes it overheat and can saturate its core, which lowers the inductance.
