Tip: Clean off flux after soldering, since residue and moisture can form leakage paths that lower the effective resistance at megohm values. At 1.1 MΩ the 0.25 W limit is only reached at about 520 V, so the resistor's maximum working voltage, not its power rating, is the real limit; check it before using the resistor across high voltages.
