Resistor 0.25W 1.5M ohm (10 pcs)

The Resistor 0.25W 1.5M ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 1.5 MΩ and a power rating of 0.25 W, sold in a pack of 10. Its very high value passes only about 3.3 µA at 5 V, so it is used where a circuit should draw almost no current, such as low-drain battery voltage dividers, high-impedance inputs, bleeder resistors and slow RC timing circuits.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. If you use it in a voltage divider for an Arduino analog input, add a 100 nF capacitor from the input to GND, because the ADC is designed for a source impedance of 10 kΩ or less and reads more accurately with the capacitor in place.
