The Resistor 0.25W 10 ohm is a low-value through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 10 Ω and a power rating of 0.25 W, sold in a pack of 10. Low values like 10 Ω are used where only a small resistance is wanted: in series with power lines and MOSFET gates, as a simple current-sense resistor, or to limit the inrush current into small capacitors and loads.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 10 Ω, the 0.25 W limit is reached at about 1.6 V across the resistor (about 158 mA), so check the power with P = I² × R before passing larger currents through it.
