The Resistor 0.25W 150 ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 150 Ω and a power rating of 0.25 W, sold in a pack of 10. 150 Ω is a standard E12 value that drives most red, yellow and green LEDs from 5 V at about 20 mA, and it is also used as a series resistor in transistor and test circuits.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 150 Ω, the 0.25 W limit is reached at about 6.1 V across the resistor (about 41 mA). A red LED on 5 V through 150 Ω draws about 20 mA; for a dimmer indicator or lower current, use 220 Ω or 330 Ω instead.
