Resistor 0.25W 20K ohm (10 pcs)

The Resistor 0.25W 20K ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 20 kΩ and a power rating of 0.25 W (1/4 W), sold in a pack of 10. Paired with a 10 kΩ resistor it either divides a voltage by 3 or keeps two-thirds of it, so it is useful for 5 V to 3.3 V level shifting and supply monitoring.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. At 5 V a 20 kΩ resistor draws 250 µA, and the 0.25 W limit is only reached at about 71 V across it (P = V² / R).
