Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. At 5 V a 330 kΩ resistor passes only about 15 µA; when it feeds an Arduino or ESP32 analog input in a divider, add a 100 nF capacitor from the input pin to ground to keep readings stable.
