Description
The Resistor 0.25W 560 ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 560 Ω and a power rating of 0.25 W, sold in a pack of 10. 560 Ω is a common E12 value for transistor base resistors, low-current LED indicators and voltage dividers in Arduino, ESP32 and general hobby circuits.
Resistor 0.25W 560 ohm Specifications
- Resistance: 560 Ω

Resistor 0.25W 560 ohm Applications
- Base resistors for switching transistors from 5 V or 3.3 V logic

- Electronics education and prototyping
What's in the Box
- 10 × 560 Ω 0.25 W resistors
Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 560 Ω, the 0.25 W limit is reached at about 11.8 V across the resistor (about 21 mA). Driving an NPN transistor base from a 5 V Arduino pin through 560 Ω gives about 7.7 mA of base current, well under the 20 mA recommended per pin.
