Resistor 0.5W 2.4 ohm (5 pcs)

The Resistor 0.5W 2.4 ohm is a very low-value through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 2.4 Ω and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. At this value only a small voltage drops across the resistor, so it is used to measure current, limit current in low-voltage power circuits and build precise low resistances in combination with other parts.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 2.4 Ω the 0.5 W limit is reached at only about 1.1 V across the resistor (about 450 mA), so for higher currents use a resistor with a bigger power rating.
