Resistor 0.5W 2M ohm (5 pcs)

The Resistor 0.5W 2M ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 2 MΩ and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. Very high values like 2 MΩ pass only microamps, so they are used where a circuit must load a signal or supply as little as possible: bleeder resistors, high-impedance inputs, capacitive touch sensing and long RC timing.

Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. At 5 V a 2 MΩ resistor passes only 2.5 µA, so power is never the limit at low voltages; at such high values, moisture, flux residue and finger contact can change readings, so keep the board clean and dry.
