Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 3.3 MΩ the power is almost never the limit, but the resistor's maximum working voltage is, so use several in series when dividing or bleeding high voltages. Keep the board clean, as flux and moisture can leak more current than the resistor itself.
