The Resistor 0.5W 39 ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a low resistance of 39 Ω and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. Tip: Resistors have no polarity, and the colour bands for 39 Ω are orange, white, black. The 0.5 W limit is reached at about 4.4 V across the resistor, so do not connect it directly across a 5 V supply: it would dissipate about 0.64 W and overheat.
