The Resistor 0.5W 4.7 ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a very low resistance of 4.7 Ω and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 4.7 Ω the 0.5 W limit is reached at only about 330 mA (about 1.5 V across it), so for current sensing calculate P = I² × R and choose a higher-wattage resistor for larger currents.
