The Resistor 0.5W 4.7M ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a very high resistance of 4.7 MΩ and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. At 5 V it passes only about 1 µA, so it is used where almost no current should flow, such as capacitive touch sensors, high-impedance inputs and slowly discharging capacitors.

Tip: Do not hold both leads with your fingers while measuring it with a multimeter, because your skin resistance is in parallel and gives a low reading. With such a high value, the 0.5 W power limit is never the issue at normal voltages; the resistor's maximum working voltage is the real limit.
