Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. A current of 100 mA through 6.2 Ω drops 0.62 V (V = I × R). The 0.5 W limit is reached at about 284 mA, or only 1.76 V across the resistor, so check the power (P = I² × R) in every power circuit.
