Resistor 3W 10 ohm

The Resistor 3W 10 ohm is a fixed power resistor with a resistance of 10 Ω and a power rating of 3 W. The higher wattage lets it carry the larger currents found in power circuits, where a standard 0.25 W resistor would overheat. It is used for current limiting, for setting the current of constant-current sources, as a test load for power supplies and as a replacement part in repairs.
