Description

The 13.56MHz RFID IC Key Tags are keychain-style RFID fobs for high-frequency 13.56 MHz readers such as the RC522 module. Each tag has a unique ID and its own memory and needs no battery: the reader powers it by radio when it comes close. They are a tidy, durable alternative to cards for door access, attendance and Arduino RFID projects.

What's in the Box

  • 1 × 13.56 MHz RFID IC key tag

Tip: These tags do not work with 125 kHz readers, so check your reader's frequency first. With an RC522 and the MFRC522 library, run the DumpInfo example to read the tag's UID, and hold the tag within a few centimetres of the reader.
