4 Channel Infrared Tracing Module

The 4 Channel Infrared Tracing Module gives a robot four infrared line sensors in one module. Each channel shines infrared light at the floor and measures how much is reflected, so it can tell a black line from a white surface and report it as a digital signal. With four channels, an Arduino or ESP32 robot car can follow lines more smoothly, take sharp turns and detect junctions.

Tip: Mount the sensors a few millimetres above the floor and check each channel over the line before running the robot. Bright sunlight contains infrared and can confuse the sensors, so test and tune them indoors first.
