ADK USB Host Shield

The ADK USB Host Shield is an Arduino shield that adds a full-size USB host port to boards such as the Arduino Uno. Based on the MAX3421E USB host controller, it lets your Arduino talk to USB devices such as keyboards, mice, game controllers, Bluetooth dongles and Android phones using the Android Open Accessory (ADK) protocol. It plugs on top of the Arduino and works with the popular USB Host Shield Library 2.0.

What's in the Box

Tip: The shield uses the SPI pins plus a chip-select and an interrupt pin (D10 and D9 on most versions), so avoid using those pins for other parts. Some USB devices draw more current than the Arduino 5 V supply can give, so power the board from an external supply when using them.
