Air Pressure Sensor MPX5100AP

The Air Pressure Sensor MPX5100AP is an integrated silicon pressure sensor that measures absolute pressure and gives a ready-to-use analog voltage. Signal conditioning and temperature compensation are built into the chip, so its output can go straight to the analog input of an Arduino or other microcontroller without an extra amplifier. The AP version has a single pressure port for connecting a tube.

Tip: On the MPX5100, pin 1 (marked by a notch) is Vout, pin 2 is GND and pin 3 is the 5 V supply; pins 4–6 are not connected. Add the decoupling and output filter capacitors shown in the datasheet, and read the output with a 5 V-referenced ADC.
