Description

The Analog Hall Magnetic Sensors KY035 module is a small board with a linear (analog) Hall effect sensor that measures the strength and polarity of a nearby magnetic field. Instead of a simple on/off signal, it gives a voltage that rises or falls as a magnet approaches, so an Arduino or ESP32 can tell how close the magnet is and which pole is facing it.

Analog Hall Magnetic Sensors KY035 Specifications

  • Sensor: 49E linear Hall effect sensor
  • Output: analog voltage, about half the supply with no magnet nearby
  • Response: voltage rises with one magnetic pole and falls with the other
  • Supply voltage: 3.3–5 V DC
  • Pins: S (signal), + (VCC, middle) and − (GND)
  • Module code: KY-035

Analog Hall Magnetic Sensors KY035 Applications

  • Measuring magnet distance and position
  • Contactless joysticks, throttles and pedals
  • Showing magnetic field strength in physics lessons
  • RPM counting with a magnet on a rotating part
  • Door and lid detection with a threshold set in code

What's in the Box

  • 1 × KY-035 analog Hall magnetic sensor module

Tip: Connect S to an analog input and note the reading with no magnet nearby; that is your zero point. Readings above it mean one pole is close and readings below it mean the other pole, and the further from zero, the stronger the field.
