DHT11 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor

The DHT11 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor measures air temperature and relative humidity and sends both values over a single digital data wire. It is low cost, easy to read with the DHT library on Arduino, ESP32 and ESP8266, and a favourite first sensor for weather stations and home monitoring projects.

• Temperature range: 0–50 °C, accuracy ±2 °C
• Humidity range: 20–90 %RH, accuracy ±5 %RH
• Resolution: 1 °C and 1 %RH
• Output: single-wire digital signal
• Sampling rate: one reading per second (1 Hz)

Tip: The data line needs a pull-up resistor of about 10 kΩ to VCC; many DHT11 boards already include one. Wait at least one second between readings, and choose a DHT22 if you need a wider range or better accuracy.
