Description
The TTP223B Module Capacitive Touch Switch is a single-key touch sensor built around the TTP223B touch pad detector IC. Touch the pad on the board and the output pin changes state, so it can replace a mechanical push button with a sealed touch key that has no moving parts to wear out. It runs from 2 V to 5.5 V and connects directly to the digital pins of Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266 and Raspberry Pi boards.
TTP223B Module Capacitive Touch Switch Specifications
- Sensor IC: TTP223B single-key capacitive touch detector
- Operating voltage: 2.0–5.5 V DC
- Output: digital; by default high when touched and low when released
- Modes: momentary or toggle, active high or active low, set with the A and B solder pads
- Pins: 3 (VCC, GND and SIG/I/O)
- Sensing: works through a thin non-metal cover such as plastic or glass
TTP223B Module Capacitive Touch Switch Applications
- Touch buttons for lamps, fans and appliance control panels
- Replacing push buttons in Arduino and ESP32 projects
- Hidden touch keys behind a plastic or acrylic enclosure
- Triggering relays, buzzers or LEDs with a light touch
What's in the Box
- 1 × TTP223B capacitive touch switch module
Tip: Connect VCC to 3.3 V or 5 V, GND to GND and SIG to a digital input, then read it with digitalRead(). The chip calibrates itself when powered on, so keep fingers off the pad for a moment while switching it on.
