DHT22/AM2302 Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor

The DHT22/AM2302 is a digital temperature and humidity sensor that sends calibrated readings over a single data wire, so it needs only one microcontroller pin. It is more accurate and has a wider range than the DHT11, which makes it a popular choice for weather stations, greenhouse controllers and IoT projects with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266 and Raspberry Pi.

Tip: Add a 4.7–10 kΩ pull-up resistor between the data line and VCC if your version does not already have one, and read the sensor no more than once every 2 seconds. The DHT sensor library in the Arduino IDE handles the timing for you.
