Description

The DIY Nano IO Shield is an expansion board for the Arduino Nano. The Nano plugs into the board's sockets, and its digital and analog pins are broken out to header rows next to power and ground, so you can connect sensors, servos and modules with standard Dupont jumper wires instead of crowding a breadboard.

DIY Nano IO Shield Specifications

  • Compatible board: Arduino Nano and Nano-compatible boards
  • Mounting: female header sockets for the Nano
  • I/O access: digital and analog pins broken out to headers
  • Power pins: power and ground rows beside the signal pins
  • Pin pitch: 2.54 mm (0.1 in), fits Dupont jumper wires
  • Version: V1.O

DIY Nano IO Shield Applications

  • Connecting several sensors and modules to an Arduino Nano
  • Small robots and servo projects
  • Neat, compact prototypes without a breadboard
  • Classroom kits where the Nano is reused often

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Nano IO Shield V1.O expansion board (Arduino Nano not included)

Tip: Match the Nano's pin labels to the markings on the shield before plugging it in, as a reversed board can be damaged. Power servos from a separate supply rather than through the Nano.
