Dry Reed Pipe Module Analog/Digital

The Dry Reed Pipe Module is a reed switch sensor board that detects a nearby magnet and gives both an analog and a digital output. A reed switch is a pair of thin metal contacts sealed in a small glass tube; when a magnet comes close, the contacts pull together and close the circuit. The on-board comparator gives a clean digital signal for Arduino, ESP32 and other microcontrollers, so it works as a simple contactless switch.

Tip: A reed switch is either open or closed, so the analog output mostly shows two levels and the digital output is the one most projects use. The glass tube is fragile, so do not bend the leads close to the glass or press hard on it.
