Description
The DSSERVO RDS3218 is a high torque digital servo, also called a steering gear, with a 270 degree range of motion. Its strength and wide travel make it a good fit for robot arms, humanoid and legged robots and RC models, and it comes with long and short U-shaped metal brackets for building robot joints.
DSSERVO RDS3218 Specifications

- Arduino, ESP32 and PCA9685 servo driver projects
What's in the Box
- 1 × DSSERVO RDS3218 digital servo
- 1 × set of long and short U-shaped metal brackets
Tip: A high torque servo draws several amps when it stalls, so power it from a separate 5–6.8 V supply with enough current, not from the Arduino 5 V pin. The Arduino Servo library assumes 180 degrees, so use writeMicroseconds() and map your angle across the full pulse range to reach all 270 degrees.
