ECG Electrode

The ECG Electrode is a self-adhesive skin electrode used to pick up the small electrical signals of the heart for electrocardiography (ECG or EKG). It connects to the lead cable of an ECG kit such as the AD8232 heart monitor module, and it is also used to read EMG muscle signals in biomedical engineering and student projects.

Tip: A typical 3-lead ECG setup needs three electrodes, so order at least three. Clean and dry the skin before applying each electrode and use a fresh one once it no longer sticks well, because poor contact adds noise to the signal. Use these electrodes only with low-voltage, battery-powered learning and test circuits.
