Description
The ENC28J60 LAN Ethernet Network Board Module adds a wired Ethernet connection to an Arduino, STM32 or other microcontroller over the SPI bus. It is based on the Microchip ENC28J60, a stand-alone 10BASE-T Ethernet controller with a built-in MAC and PHY, and it has an RJ45 jack so you can plug it straight into a router or switch. It is a low-cost way to build small web servers, IoT nodes and network-controlled devices.
ENC28J60 LAN Ethernet Network Board Specifications

ENC28J60 LAN Ethernet Network Board Applications
- Small web servers and control pages for Arduino projects
- Sending sensor data to a local server or MQTT broker
- Network-controlled relays and home automation
- Wired IoT nodes where Wi-Fi is weak or not allowed
- Learning TCP/IP networking in embedded systems labs
What's in the Box
- 1 × ENC28J60 Ethernet network module
Tip: Power the module from a 3.3 V supply that can deliver around 200 mA, as the ENC28J60 draws up to about 180 mA while transmitting and the 3.3 V pin of some Arduino boards cannot supply this. Use the EtherCard or UIPEthernet library, which support this chip; the standard Arduino Ethernet library does not.
