GP2Y0A02YK0F 20-150cm IR distance sensor + Cable

The GP2Y0A02YK0F 20-150cm IR distance sensor measures how far away an object is, from 20 cm up to 150 cm, and outputs an analog voltage that any Arduino or ESP32 analog pin can read. It works by infrared triangulation: an IR LED sends out a beam and a position-sensitive detector measures the angle of the reflected light, so the colour of the target has little effect on the reading. A connection cable is included.

Tip: The sensor draws current in pulses, so place a 10 µF or larger capacitor across Vcc and GND close to it to keep readings stable. The output is not linear: use a lookup table or a curve-fit formula to convert voltage to distance, and remember that objects closer than 20 cm give false readings.
