Description
The High sensitivity microphone sensor module is a small board with an electret microphone that picks up sound and turns it into an electrical signal a microcontroller can read. It lets an Arduino, ESP32 or ESP8266 react to claps, voices, knocks and general noise levels, which makes it a common part in sound-activated and noise-monitoring projects for students and makers.
High sensitivity microphone sensor Specifications
- Sensor: electret condenser microphone
- Function: detects sound and changes in noise level
- Connection: header pins for Dupont jumper wires
- Works with: Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266 and other microcontroller boards
High sensitivity microphone sensor Applications
- Clap switches and sound-activated lights
- Noise level monitoring in rooms, workshops and classrooms
- Robots that start, stop or turn when they hear a sound
- Knock and tap detection projects
- STEM classes and sensor experiments
What's in the Box
- 1 × microphone sensor module
Tip: Check the pin labels printed on the board before wiring, and if the board supports 3.3 V, power it from 3.3 V when you use it with an ESP32 so its output stays at a safe level for the input pin. A module like this measures how loud a sound is; it is not meant for recording audio or recognising speech.
