IC 7411

The 7411 is a 7400-series logic IC that contains three independent 3-input AND gates. Each output goes HIGH only when all three of its inputs are HIGH, which makes it useful for combining enable signals, building decoders and teaching Boolean logic in digital electronics labs and university courses.

Tip: Power the chip from a stable 5 V supply with a 100 nF capacitor between pins 14 and 7. Tie unused inputs of a gate you are using to VCC, and the inputs of unused gates to GND, instead of leaving them floating.
