Mosfet Transistor IRL2203

The Mosfet Transistor IRL2203 is a logic-level N-channel power MOSFET rated for 30 V and very high current, with an on-resistance of only 7 mΩ. Because its on-resistance is also specified at a 4.5 V gate voltage, it can be switched directly from a 5 V Arduino output, making it a good choice for driving motors, LED strips and other heavy DC loads with little heat.

Tip: Add a 100 Ω to 220 Ω resistor in series with the gate and a 10 kΩ pull-down from gate to source so the MOSFET stays off at power-up. Place a flyback diode across motors and solenoids, and keep the gate voltage below 16 V.
