Mosfet Transistor IRL520N

The Mosfet Transistor IRL520N is a logic-level N-channel power MOSFET in a TO-220 package, rated for 100 V and 10 A. Because its gate is specified for 4 V and 5 V drive, it can be switched directly from a 5 V Arduino output pin to control motors, LED strips, solenoids and other DC loads, including loads on supplies well above 12 V.

Tip: Use it as a low-side switch: source to ground, load between the drain and the positive supply. Add a 100–220 Ω gate resistor, a 10 kΩ pull-down from gate to source and a flyback diode across motors and solenoids. A 3.3 V pin (ESP32) does not turn it fully on, so use 5 V gate drive for higher currents.
