Description

The Laser Receiver Module is a small sensor board that detects when a laser beam hits its sensor and turns that into a digital signal your microcontroller can read. Pair it with a red laser diode module to build laser tripwires, beam-break counters and simple optical links with an Arduino, ESP32 or other microcontroller.

Laser Receiver Module Specifications

  • Function: detects laser light falling on the sensor
  • Output: digital signal that changes state when the beam is received or blocked
  • Works with: visible red laser modules, such as 650 nm laser heads
  • Interface: power, ground and signal pins for direct connection to a microcontroller
  • Format: small PCB module, easy to wire on a breadboard with jumper wires

Laser Receiver Module Applications

  • Laser tripwire and security alarm projects
  • Counting objects that pass through a beam
  • Simple laser communication experiments
  • Laser shooting games and target projects
  • STEM lessons and Arduino sensor practice

What's in the Box

  • 1 × laser receiver module

Tip: Check the pin labels on your board before wiring and power it from the voltage marked on it. Bright sunlight can also trigger the sensor, so shade it or fit a short tube around it for reliable beam detection.
