LCD1602 Blue Backlight

The LCD1602 Blue Backlight is a 16×2 character LCD module that shows 2 lines of 16 characters in white on a blue LED backlight. It uses an HD44780-compatible controller, so it works with the standard LiquidCrystal library on Arduino and with most other microcontrollers. It is an easy, low-cost way to show sensor readings, menus and messages in your projects.

Tip: Wire a 10 kΩ potentiometer to the V0 pin (pin 3) to set the contrast; if you see only blocks or a blank screen, adjust it first. In 4-bit mode the display needs just 6 Arduino pins (RS, E and D4–D7); for a 4-wire connection, choose the LCD1602 I2C version instead.
