LCD1602 Yellow Green Backlight

The LCD1602 Yellow Green Backlight is a 16×2 character LCD module that shows 2 lines of 16 characters with a yellow-green LED backlight. It uses an HD44780-compatible controller, so it works with the standard LiquidCrystal library on Arduino and with most other microcontrollers. It is a simple, low-cost way to display sensor readings, menus and messages in your projects.

Tip: Connect a 10 kΩ potentiometer to the V0 pin (pin 3) to set the contrast; if the screen shows only blocks or nothing, adjust it first. In 4-bit mode you need only 6 Arduino pins: RS, E and D4–D7.
