MC-38 Wired Door Window Sensor Magnetic Switch Home Alarm System

The MC-38 Wired Door Window Sensor is a magnetic reed switch for home alarm systems. It comes in two parts: a switch unit with wire leads that mounts on the door or window frame, and a magnet that mounts on the moving door or window. When the two parts are close together the contacts are closed, and when the door opens and the magnet moves away the contacts open, which an alarm panel, Arduino or ESP32 can detect.

Tip: Connect one wire to a digital pin set as INPUT_PULLUP and the other to GND: the pin reads LOW when the door is closed and HIGH when it opens. Mount the two parts side by side, lined up and as close as possible when the door is shut.
