Description

The Mono audio amplifier TDA7052 is a small single-channel audio power amplifier IC that drives a loudspeaker in bridge-tied load (BTL) mode. It delivers about 1 W from a low supply voltage, has a fixed internal gain and needs almost no external components, so it is a simple choice for battery-powered speakers, toys, intercoms and the audio output of microcontroller projects.

Mono audio amplifier TDA7052 Specifications

  • Type: mono (1-channel) audio power amplifier IC with BTL output
  • Supply voltage: 3 V to 18 V
  • Output power: about 1.2 W into 8 Ω at a 6 V supply (typical)
  • Voltage gain: fixed, about 39 dB
  • Quiescent current: about 4 mA at 6 V
  • Features: no output coupling capacitor needed, no switch-on or switch-off clicks, short-circuit protected
  • Package: 8-pin DIP

Mono audio amplifier TDA7052 Applications

  • Small portable and battery-powered speakers
  • Audio output for Arduino, ESP32 and MP3 player projects
  • Toys, door chimes and alarm sounders
  • Intercoms, telephones and small radio receivers
  • Audio electronics practice and student projects

What's in the Box

  • 1 × TDA7052 mono audio amplifier IC

Tip: Because the output is bridge-tied, connect the speaker between the two output pins and never connect either output to ground. Feed the audio signal in through a small coupling capacitor, and fit a decoupling capacitor (for example 100 µF plus 100 nF) across the supply close to the chip.
