PIR Sensor Mini HC-SR505

The PIR Sensor Mini HC-SR505 is a very small passive infrared motion sensor that detects people moving within about 3 m. Its output goes HIGH when motion is seen and stays on for about 8 seconds, restarting the timer while movement continues. With a very low standby current and a board of only 10 × 23 mm, it fits compact and battery-powered projects where the larger HC-SR501 would not.

Tip: The HC-SR505 has no adjustment trimmers, so the delay and sensitivity are fixed. Give it a short time to settle after power-up, and mount it away from heaters, air conditioners and direct sunlight to avoid false triggers.
