RS232 to TTL Serial Interface Module

The RS232 to TTL Serial Interface Module converts the voltage levels of an RS232 serial port to TTL logic levels that a microcontroller can use. RS232 signals swing above and below 0 V, which would damage an Arduino or ESP32 pin, so this module sits between the two and lets your board talk safely to PCs, GPS units, scales, PLCs and other RS232 devices.

Tip: Cross the data lines: module TXD goes to the microcontroller RX and module RXD to TX, with grounds shared. Check the chip marking before powering at 3.3 V, as some RS232 converter chips need 5 V.
