Description
The Servo Mount Brackets for MG995 and MG996 servos let you fix a standard-size servo motor to a robot frame, a chassis plate or another servo. They hold the servo body firmly so that its output horn can move a joint, a pan-tilt head or a steering linkage, which makes them a common part in robot arms, walking robots and other servo-based Arduino projects.
Servo Mount Brackets Specifications
- Compatible servos: MG995 and MG996 (MG996R)
- Servo size: standard-size servo body, about 40 × 20 mm
- Use: mounting a servo to frames, plates or other brackets
- Fixing: screws through the bracket holes into the frame and servo
Servo Mount Brackets Applications
- Robot arm joints and grippers
- Biped and hexapod walking robots
- Pan-tilt camera and sensor mounts
- Steering and linkages in RC models and robot cars
- STEM robotics classes and competitions
What's in the Box
- 1 × servo mount bracket set for MG995 / MG996 servos (as pictured)
Tip: Tighten the screws evenly so the servo sits square in the bracket, and centre the servo (send it to 90°) before fitting the horn so the joint has its full range in both directions. Power MG995 and MG996 servos from a separate 5–6 V supply that can deliver enough current, not from the Arduino 5 V pin.
