Description
The Single Phase Voltage Mutual Inductor AC active output module is an AC voltage sensor based on the ZMPT101B precision voltage transformer. It scales single-phase mains voltage, up to 250 V AC, down to a small analog signal that an Arduino, ESP32 or other microcontroller can read, while the transformer keeps the mains side isolated from your low-voltage circuit. It is used in energy meters, power monitors and over- or under-voltage protection.
Single Phase Voltage Mutual Inductor Specifications
- Sensor: ZMPT101B voltage transformer, 2 mA rated current
- Measuring range: single-phase AC up to 250 V
- Isolation: up to 4000 V between the mains side and the output
- Amplifier: onboard LM358 op-amp (active output)
- Output: analog AC waveform centred at half the supply voltage
- Calibration: multi-turn trimmer potentiometer to set the gain
- Module supply: 5 V DC
Single Phase Voltage Mutual Inductor Applications
- Measuring mains voltage with an Arduino or ESP32
- DIY energy and power meters together with a current sensor such as the SCT-013
- Over-voltage and under-voltage alarms and protection
- Monitoring generator and inverter output
- IoT home energy dashboards
What's in the Box
- 1 × ZMPT101B AC voltage sensor module
Tip: The AC input terminals carry mains voltage, which is dangerous: wire it with the power off, use an enclosure and never touch the board while it is live. Calibrate the reading against a multimeter with the trimmer and calculate the RMS value in code, for example with the EmonLib or ZMPT101B Arduino libraries.
