SN74175 Quad D-Type Flip Flop

The SN74175 Quad D-Type Flip Flop is a 74-series TTL logic IC with four positive-edge-triggered D flip-flops that share a common clock and a common clear input. On each rising clock edge, the level at each D input is stored and appears at its Q output, with the inverted value at Q̄. It is a simple way to build a 4-bit register in digital logic projects and lab exercises.

Tip: Keep the CLR pin HIGH for normal operation by tying it to 5 V or a pull-up resistor, and connect unused D inputs to a fixed level. Place a 100 nF ceramic capacitor between pins 16 and 8, close to the chip.
