Description
The Voice Recognition Module V3, also sold as the Speak Recognition module, is a compact board that lets an Arduino or other microcontroller react to spoken commands. You train it with your own voice, store up to 80 commands and load up to 7 of them at a time; when it hears one, it reports the result over its 5 V TTL serial interface. It is a good fit for voice-controlled lights, robots and home automation projects.
Voice Recognition Module V3 Specifications
- Supply voltage: 4.5 V to 5.5 V
- Current: under 40 mA
- Digital interface: 5 V TTL level UART and GPIO
- Analog interface: 3.5 mm mono microphone jack and microphone pin header
- Commands stored: up to 80, each up to about 1.5 s (one or two words)
- Commands active at once: up to 7
- Recognition accuracy: up to 99% in ideal conditions
- Size: 31 × 50 mm
Voice Recognition Module V3 Applications
- Voice-controlled lights, relays and sockets
- Spoken commands for robot cars and robotic arms
- Home automation and smart room projects
- Assistive and hands-free control devices
- STEM and university projects on speech recognition
What's in the Box
- 1 × Voice Recognition Module V3
Tip: Train each command in the same place and at the same distance from the microphone where the module will be used, as background noise lowers accuracy. With a 3.3 V board such as the ESP32, add a level shifter or a resistor divider on the module's TX line, because its serial interface uses 5 V levels.
