TDA2030

The TDA2030 is a monolithic class AB audio power amplifier IC in a 5-pin Pentawatt package. It delivers about 14 W into a 4 Ω speaker from a ±14 V supply, needs only a few external parts, and has built-in short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown. It is a popular choice for DIY amplifiers, active speakers and subwoofer projects.

Tip: Always mount the TDA2030 on a heatsink. The metal tab is connected to pin 3 (−VS), so with a split supply insulate the tab from a grounded heatsink using a mica pad and an insulating washer.
